Accessorizing your home
It is always good to own a house which is big and at the same time beautiful. There are many ways in which you can add some flair, coziness and tranquility to your abode without spending a fortune. Accessorizing is surely one of those steps which can help you embellish the dwelling. Whenever you look forward to a makeover of your home, make sure that you add things you love – colors, paintings, fabrics and furniture.
Always chose the colors that are pleasing to the eyes – pleasing to your eyes of course. Stick to one theme, at least one theme per room if not for the entire abode. A sense of equilibrium and balance is very essential to the design, so maintain the symmetry in your designs. Lighting is another facet of the interior which enhances the beauty of the place during the day, and the only source of beauty during the nights.
Things to keep in mind before purchasing kitchen cabinets
Purchasing kitchen cabinets is not as easy a job as you think it to be. They are the basic essentials which need to be bought keeping in mind the storage space in your kitchen and the design plan of your kitchen as well. Ensure that the kitchen cabinets you are going to purchase match all the appliances and other fixtures in your kitchen.
The key aspect to keep in mind while purchasing the kitchen cabinets is quality. In lieu of saving money do not compromise on the quality of the cabinets. Poor quality would lead to shorter life span of the cabinets. However if you really have to cut corners then you could choose kitchen cabinets that come without built-in racks or cups.
They come much cheaper and you could add on these features on your own later as it does not seek any professional expertise. In fact this also gives you the liberty to choose your own style.
TV Mirror – How to make it?
A two way mirror can hide a flat screen television in the most straightforward way without disturbing your basic home décor.
Get a two way mirror that is larger in size than your flat screen television. On the darker side set a d-ring and a screw hole at the upper left and right corners of the frame. The screws should be fastened in a way that the ring part points toward the top of the frame to ease hanging.
After measuring the distance between these d-rings transfer them to the wall above your TV and find and mark any stud points in this particular wall. Drill holes and settle the wall hooks in place by twisting them into the wall till the screw end is completely embedded.
Finally hook up the mirror to the wall so that it covers the TV completely but allows you to use your remote efficiently.
Designing Boys Room on an Army Theme
An army theme is a great home décor idea for a boy’s room as they simply love the action of soldiers and camouflage tanks.
Military gear and camouflage uniforms offer a range of sober shades for wall colors, like lighter off whites, olives, tans, sand and muted browns to work as a backdrop for any army related murals you might paint on the walls.
Or you could get affordable acrylic wall stickers of tanks and army scenes that can be peeled off to put up new ones easily in most dollar stores.
Military fabric should be added in little dashes such as pin boards, lamp shades to avoid excess. Photographs of family or friends in their army regalia who the boy idolizes also serve as a focal point.
Collect a range of theme based toys that also serve the dual purpose of being show pieces arranged on the toy shelf.

T-joints, PVC pipes some elbow and open end joints are all it takes to make a stand for the high in demand video game “Guitar Hero” that will compliment your home décor.

Next add a longer pipe to the upward facing t-joint. Cap the end of the pipe with another t-joint, run a smaller pipe through this t-joint. This pipe needs to be equal on either side. Add elbow joints on both ends and add smaller pipes to the elbow joints. Cap these ends again with elbow joints to complete the head rest of the unsteady game controller.
Selecting the Love Seat Size
A Love Seat is a smaller sofa that generally seats two. It could be similar to your larger main sofa or in small places a standalone furniture unit that compliments home décor. Essentially a loveseat should fit perfectly into its surroundings and be able to hold its own among other more elaborate pieces of furniture.
Therefore it is not only mandatory to understand the size of the room but also the designated place that the loveseat will go in.
Loveseats are available in three standard sizes, the smallest being 58”, medium 64” and the largest at 71”. With that in mind you should be able to plan the one that suits your style.
The smaller ones are perfect as additional seating, so are the medium size which can also be used comfortably as standalone sofas in a small home. The largest size is best suited to bigger rooms.

Folding Bar – What is it?
A folding bar is like Aladdin’s lamp you open it and get shelves and storage almost like magic. Folding bars are mostly used at outdoor parties and barbeques and then folded and stored flat again. They are easy to assemble and dismantle within no time at all.
They sprang into existence when most homes in the 1950s wanted a bar during parties. It made sense to have a temporary arrangement to serve drinks for those who did not have permanent bars.
Most home décor shops have a vast range to choose from in various sturdy materials. Folding bars are convenient as stools can be pulled up and placed along the flat end to make it look and feel like a real bar.
Some of the new folding bars have ice basins and stem ware options to store goblets and other bar paraphernalia. Ultimately they are space savers for small homes.
