4. Secure the pieces of maple together.
5. Put the solid maple on the legs and also fit the shelf.
6. Secure the shelf to create the top of the cleaning table.
7. Now make it stand on the legs and sand the maple before applying finish.
Reworking the Wrought Iron Benches
Wrought iron benches are a beautiful seating option in outdoor and indoor home décor aspects. They are made for the sturdy outdoors but often the powder coating or paint washes off and the bench has to be redone.
Begin by washing off all surface areas even nooks and crannies of the decorative design element on the bench.
Wear a mask and safety goggles as well as thick gloves before handling chemical paint stripper and enamel paints. Using a chemical paint stripper or by a sanding method remove all traces of paint.
Wash the bench once more to remove paint and soap residues. Now apply alkyd rust-inhibitor to the whole bench twice allowing it to dry thoroughly between coats.
Once both layers of rust inhibitor have successfully dried apply alkyd enamel paint with a foam type brush and let dry. Paint one more layer of the same paint and dry overnight.
Fixing the Commodes
A commode is a floor mounted toilet that has a flush type toilet bowl made from porcelain. The pipes for this type of a toilet run along the length of the floor till they reach an outer wall.
A leak in the commode type of toilet will seep out noticeably onto the floor of the bathroom. First check the source of the leak before doing any of the heavy work.
Once the leak is determined, turn off the main water valve by turning it in a clockwise direction. Locate and turn off the shutoff valve at the back of the toilet.
If this is where the water is coming from, tighten the coupling nut with the help of an adjustable wrench also tighten any loose nuts with the help of a flat head. Check the washers on the nuts and replace any if they are spoilt. Change all these damaged parts.

Run a thin ¼ “PVC pipe through three t-joints, turn them so that middle joint faces upward. Join two elbow joints to both downward facing t-joints and complete with small pipes on both sides to make a square shape. Now add longer pipes to both ends of the downward t-joints to make the base.
Next add a longer pipe to the upward facing t-joint. Cap the end of the pipe with another t-joint, run a smaller pipe through this t-joint. This pipe needs to be equal on either side. Add elbow joints on both ends and add smaller pipes to the elbow joints. Cap these ends again with elbow joints to complete the head rest of the unsteady game controller.

Upholstering Furniture in Velvet – Is it possible?
Velvet denotes regality and opulence. Using it in your home décor can give you astonishing results, but how far is it pliable or practical to your plans?
Cotton velvet although the most traditional type of velvet is not generally used in upholstering furniture as it lacks the fluidity needed for the purpose. On the other hand suede velvet is shinier but is stain resistant and has a better fall.
The trick to get the correct effects is to choose medium weight upholstery velvet, available at most home furnishing stores. Velvet should always be cut on the right side as it is irreversible. Care should be taken to ensure that the pile or rub runs in the most natural direction.
Additionally, it should also be kept taut while upholstering to avoid an unprofessional blotchy look. Use only recommended needles; adhesive and velvet spray that offers stain resistance to get perfect results.
Staining the Table Legs
Regular polishing of wood table legs not only protects them against more wear and tear but also enhances existing home décor.
Take out the table legs and rub the front and back of the leg with a furniture stripping brick to remove all traces of paint or varnish. Smoothen the leg by sanding, wipe off dust and grime then hold the leg in a vice or clamp.
Start staining the visible portion of the leg along the wood grains. When done turn to the unstained side. Remember to wrap a cotton rag on the stained portion where the vice will hold the leg and repeat procedure.
After the leg is completely dry spray polyurethane as a sealant, on one side and then turn repeating the above procedure for the other side as well, till the leg is covered evenly.
Re assemble the table by screwing the legs back in place.
